General terms of sale

ARTICLE 1 : GENERAL PROVISIONS

These General Terms of Sale apply to individual bookings of equal or less than 5 rooms, made in one go directly with Hotel Edmond W. or via www.hotel-edmondw.fr. Online bookings can be made up to 11pm on the day of arrival.
Customers agree to follow and enforce all the provisions stipulated in this document, as well as all legal and regulatory requirements. These terms of sale may be changed at any moment and the applicable terms are those in effect at the time of booking.
These general terms of sale prevail over all other general terms of sale not expressly authorised by Hotel Edmond W.

ARTICLE 2 : CAPACITY

The customer confirms that they have the capacity to enter into a contract, in other words that they are of legal age and not under supervision or guardianship.

ARTICLE 3 : BOOKING CONDITIONS

The rates applied are in euros (€) per room per night, not including tourist tax. The rates applied are only for the precise services indicated in the booking.
The rates shown on the website are subject to change without notice and only the rate displayed in the booking confirmation is contractual.
The booking will only be effective if the customer guarantees their booking by providing a credit card number and expiry date that is valid at the time of the stay. The hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking where the credit card number is invalid.
When taking a booking, a pre-autorisation on the credit card will be made. This authorisation is for information purposes only and in no case will funds be taken from the account (except for bookings at promotional rates which are non-cancellable, non-changeable and pre-paid in full at the time of booking).
During some periods, bookings must be pre-paid in full (non-refundable). Stays equal or longer than 5 nights must be pre-paid in full and are non-refundable if cancelled.

ARTICLE 4 : ROOM AVAILABILITY

Rooms are made available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by midday the day of departure.

ARTICLE 5 : CANCELLATIONS

If the booking is made via www.hotel-edmondw.fr , we recommend cancelling in the same manner, by clicking on ‘change or cancel’. You can also cancel your booking by contacting the hotel. Be aware that some rates do not allow for changes or cancellations and are pre-paid in full at the time of booking.
No charges will be applied if the booking is cancelled before 3pm (local time) one day before the arrival date. Beyond this deadline, the first night will be billed. During some periods (trade shows), this deadline will be extended to 7 days before arrival.
The date the cancellation request is received (by email, post, telephone or fax) will be the date used for the booking cancellation. In the event the customer does not show up and does not cancel, the amount for the first night will be billed within the abovementioned deadlines.

ARTICLE 6 : PAYMENT CONDITIONS

Payment for all services will be made directly at the hotel (except for bookings pre-paid at the time of booking).
Payment on the website is made via credit card using a secure payment system.

ARTICLE 7 : RE-HOUSING

In case of an emergency or technical issues in the hotel that make a customer’s stay impossible, the hotel will do everything in its power to find alternative accommodation, if possible in a hotel of the same category or higher. The expenses incurred (additional costs) will be covered by the hotel).

ARTICLE 8 : DATA PROTECTION

In accordance with the 78-17 French data protection law, customers are advised that the booking information provided will be subject to electronic processing. Users have the right to access and rectify the data they provide by contacting the company’s head office. This information will not be given to any third parties.

ARTICLE 9 : CLAIMS

Any claims must be sent by recorded delivery with return receipt to HOTEL EDMOND W.17, Rue du Professeur WEILL, 69006 Lyon, within 15 days of the date of departure. Beyond this date, no claims will be accepted.

ARTICLE 10 : INSURANCE – LIABILITY

The hotel accepts no liability for any theft, loss or damage of objects belonging to customers during their stay.
Customers will be held responsible for any damage, deterioration or acts of vandalism that may result from occupying the premises and/or from any persons under their responsibility, as well as damages resulting from using the internet such as loss of data, viruses or service disruption.

ARTICLE 11 : LIMITATION

The customer agrees to not invite anyone whose behaviour may harm the establishment, and the hotel reserves the right to intervene if necessary.

ARTICLE 12 : INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

As for use of the website, Hotel Edmond W. is owner of all intellectual property rights concerning the website.
The website’s content, in the form of text, photographs, images, icons, sound, videos, software or databases are also protected by intellectual and industrial property rights. Without explicit, written agreement from Hotel Edmond W, it is expressly forbidden to reproduce, exploit, distribute or use in whatever capacity, even partially, any of the website’s content or to distribute a single hypertext link.

ARTICLE 13 : JURISDICTION

Any disputes that may arise from the application or interpretation of these general terms of sale are subject to French law and shall come under the exclusive jurisdiction of French law and the Nanterre Court of Appeal.
